A Note from the Creator
A personal project built for a real use case, not a commercial product.
This project started because I wanted a better way to manage my own portfolio. I needed research and recommendations that I could trust, structured the way I like to see them, covering what to buy, sell, or hold across the financial instruments I care about. So I built it.
TradingAgents is not intended to be a commercial trading tool. It was designed as a personal system where I could combine my interest in building AI architectures with a real, tangible use case: managing my own investment research pipeline. Every agent, every data source, every stage of the pipeline was built because I needed it for my own decision-making process.
The platform exists at the intersection of two things I care about: artificial intelligence systems engineering and financial market research. It gives me a place to experiment with multi-agent architectures, adversarial reasoning, and autonomous data aggregation while producing something genuinely useful for my own portfolio.
That said, I am more than happy to talk about where this can go. The architecture was designed to be extensible, and there are several directions I find genuinely exciting:
Expanding data collection is the most immediate opportunity. The OSINT layer currently pulls from 12 channels, but there is room to integrate additional intelligence sources, including SIGINT-style signal processing, alternative data feeds, satellite imagery analysis for commodity plays, patent filing monitors, and supply chain disruption tracking.
AI hive swarms represent the longer-term vision. Imagine connecting multiple independent TradingAgents systems into a larger research pool, where each node contributes its own analysis, its own data, and its own perspective. The swarm would produce a higher-fidelity consensus than any single system could achieve alone, while each participant retains full autonomy over their own portfolio decisions. Decentralized intelligence, individually actionable.
If any of this resonates with you, whether it is the data expansion, the hive architecture, or something else entirely, I would genuinely enjoy the conversation.
Extending the intelligence layer with additional data channels: satellite imagery, patent filings, supply chain signals, regulatory calendars, and alternative sentiment sources beyond Reddit.
Connecting independent TradingAgents systems into a decentralized research network. Each node contributes analysis to a shared intelligence pool while maintaining full individual autonomy over portfolio actions.
